Vision The basic function of the electric power industry is to produce and deliver power, safely and reliably. Moreover, its vertically integrated structure of the past has been replaced by multiple players, providing unbundled services using market-oriented decision making. A few challenges are being raised in this new environment, in terms of the strategies, the technologies, analytical capabilities, the tools and operating practices.As a research oriented center, IPSERC is looking for meeting the Iran power industry requirements, in terms of both the research and development and consultation services. All types of operation and planning studies are considered. While the initial emphasis has been on nation needs, the territory and neighboring countries are also under consideration as new targets for such types of services. As a result, IPSERC aims at ranking the first on a nation basis and a top rank in the middle east. As an affiliated center to TMU, IPSERC makes the most benefits of the facilities available within this postgraduate university and does its best in providing the services required. While these services are of main concern, IPSERC tries to use the most advanced tools and algorithms to archieve at the aims. However, as the most dominant factor in fullfilling the tasks, IPSERC focuses on training and employing highly qualified young experts, mainly among MSc and PhD students.
